By far, one of the best experiences we’ve had. We travel extensively and have taken lots of tours. Jonathan’s passion for olive cultivation and oil making is amazing and he communicates extremely well. We learned so much on this tour. The content and presentation is excellent. At the end Jonathan provides the opportunity to taste his oil and olives along with tasty local mezes. If you are in Corfu this is a “must do”.

Jonathan is friendly, knowledgeable about the local olive history of Corfu, and passionate about the legacy of the Corfu olive industry. He met us at the (green) bus stop in Kassiopi in a comfortable, air conditioned mini-van along the way to pick up two other guests before heading the olive grove. We instantly felt welcomed and at-ease. As mentioned in the instructions, it’s best to wear closed-toed shoes as there is a bit of mostly very non-strenuous walking. At the end of the tour, we shared REAL Corfu olives and olive oil (harvested and made by Jonathan), drinks, bread, locally cured meats, and grape leaves filled with seasoned rice. Everything was delicious! I was so glad to have booked this tour and we learned a great deal about the olive oil industry and the history of olives in Greece.

This experience was fantastic! Jonathan provided us a local insight that you couldn’t otherwise get when visiting a new area. We loved it. The story of olive oil and Corfu was rich with surprises. Jonathan’s passion and professionalism was inspiring in giving us a solid understanding of the cultural background of Corfu. He led us on a beautiful walk through his families ancient olive groves, corfiat woodland, hillside village and historical olive oil mill. The experience was topped off with a tasting of Jonathan’s wonderful olive oil, olives and local produce in the cool leafiness of his olive grove. A culturally rich and thoroughly enjoyable experience for all ages. We learned so much about this great island and know what to look for in a good olive oil!
