A little 3 hours Athenian adventure where you will walk, eat and feel like a real local.
Our tour will start from the beautiful area of Plaka, this hidden little island-like district in the center of Athens. We will walk through its narrow streets and admire the small taverns and the prestigious buildings of the neighborhood.
Then we will find ourselves in the famous area of Monastiraki, where we will start a culinary journey of tasting, experimenting various handmade products from local shops, ending in the bustling Varvakeios Agora market.
Then, our adventure will continue in Syntagma, where we will admire the monument of the dead soldier in front of the Hellenic Parliament and watch the shift change of the soldiers.
A small exploration of the National Garden could not be missing from our walk, where we will then end up and see the first Olympic stadium in modern history, the legendary Panathenaic Stadium.
At the end of our short trip you will be given further information and advices on what to do in Athens and a small souvenir to remember this experience forever.

Would totally recommend to anyone wanting to get a holistic view of Athens through the eyes of a local! Katerina was a great host, as she took us to both must see and hidden spots in Athens and she was also a pleasure to talk to; kind, fun and energetic. Book this experience if you don’t want a strictly ‘touristy’ tour and you will not be disappointed!

Walking through some hidden corners from Athens, tasting some local products (deli meat, wine and cheese) and see the city from a local point of view was great.
This tour is a great option in case that you want to get out from the touristic approach and have a “urban” experience.
Aikaterini was extremely open, flexible with the times and adjusting the tour to the needs from the group. At the end she provided some recommendations of restaurants and other aspects that helped us a lot.
For those that are interested in historical facts. I recommend to find a different option.
