This experience was just wonderful! Nikos’s centuries-old family estate is a beautifully picturesque spot to sit under the stars and feel part of a continuing timeline of history. It’s not far from Old Town but feels a world away.
Listening to him play classical guitar from music written by composers from Spain, Latin America, Greece, and even Bach (yes, that Bach!) while sitting in an ancient olive press was just lovely. Nikos is hugely talented and earned his master’s degree in classical guitar in Austria, and it was an honor to hear someone of his caliber play here on the little island of Naxos.
Another favorite part of the experience was talking with Sofia, Nikos’s mother, over local wine, cheese, tomatoes, and olives (all of which were outstanding). Their family and personal histories have provided them both with broad perspectives on many things, and we could have talked for hours!
This was a fantastic experience and I recommend it for anyone who wants to truly explore Naxos beyond a tourist checklist. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

We were picked up in Naxos town so walking distance from the harbor. Nikos was very nice and explained to us on the way to the location how the evening is going. Arrived at the house, his mother also welcomed us warmly. The concert was great and special to us as it was the last event this year and we were the only ones who signed up. It had a great private charm. Between and after the pieces we were supplied with wine, bread, olives and cheese. In addition, we were able to have a great conversation with Nikos, his mother and his girlfriend and have learned a lot about Naxos, Greece and the family.
His guitar game was very special and captivated us in a lot. Between the pieces, he gave some interesting and important points with a lot of dedication, which made the experience even better.
Also, the view was just fantastic. On the way to home, the full moon has brightened the path for us.
A fantastic and unique experience all!
