Join me for a walk off the beaten track into the authentic cultural history of the picturesque Town of Mykonos Island.

Together, we’ll be painting a picture of the island dating back to the 1950s- imagine artists, visionaries, hippies, celebrities and eccentric figures; all part of the rich narrative of an island that became known for its acceptance and inclusivity, only to become an exclusive playground for the ultra-rich.

The walk will include some important checkpoints of the island’s topography and teach you how it came to be the unique destination it is today, all while avoiding the crowds and focusing on the residential aspects through personal experiences.

You’ll learn about the culture & folklore of Mykonos and the nearby island of Delos, from a local’s point of view. Throughout our walk, we’ll be exploring some of the lesser-known, uncharted parts of Town, learning about folklore, myths, and the island’s vivid artistic background.

This is an activity that will enrich your Mykonos experience no matter the season, as the island off-season offers unique views, cultural experiences & photographic opportunities.

Section 2: Proof of Concept Image: A small-scale model unit showcasing sustainable features

Step 1: Selecting the Perfect Location To illustrate the potential of our concept, we carefully chose a small parcel of land in the target urban area that embodies the characteristics of our larger vision.

Step 2: Innovative DesignImage: Architectural renderings of the model unit We've designed a beautiful, energy-efficient model unit that showcases our sustainable features, including solar panels, energy-efficient insulation, green building materials, and state-of-the-art smart home technology.

Step 3: Securing Approvals Image: Building permits and zoning approvals Before any construction began, we diligently obtained the necessary permits and approvals from local authorities to ensure compliance with all zoning laws and building codes.

Step 4: Building the Model UnitImage: Construction in progress Our team worked tirelessly to bring our design to life, constructing the model unit to exact specifications, incorporating all the sustainable features and technologies.

Step 5: Showcasing the POCImage: Open house event with visitors exploring the model unit We opened the doors to our model unit, inviting visitors, potential investors, and partners to explore and experience our innovative concept firsthand. This allowed them to see, touch, and feel the sustainable features in action.

Step 6: Data and FeedbackGraphs and charts showcasing energy consumption and cost savings We gathered valuable data on energy consumption, cost savings, and more from the model unit. Visitor feedback and expert opinions were crucial in understanding the market's interest and perspectives on our concept.

Section 3: The Results Image: Presentation slides summarizing the results With the data and feedback collected during the POC phase, we've created a compelling presentation that demonstrates the feasibility, benefits, and market potential of our sustainable real estate concept. Jasmine’s tour gave the town a whole layer of magic and history beyond the obvious commercial tourist vibe that you see on the surface. It was so special to learn about her personal family history on the island, which gave a lot of perspective to who actually lives there, what their lives are like, and how these things have evolved over time. After the tour she gave us a personalized list of recommendations, and so for the rest of our trip we got to do so many things off the beaten path that we would have known about on our own. Cannot recommend enough. We took the advice from reviews and did this on our first day— you should do the same!!

Jasmine was an amazing tour guide, full of stories and anecdotes about the island! She took us to some incredible spots that weren’t overrun by tourists and helped educate us on the history of the island. The only regret is not doing the tour earlier in our time on Mykonos.

This was a really unique experience and one that showed us the parts of Mykonos that visitors/tourists might not see. Jasmine is a great storyteller, with lots of interesting stories and it was clear to see the significance this place holds for her. We’re grateful we did this and only wish we did it as soon as we arrived in Mykonos!

Jasmine gave a highly personal, passionate tour about her home town of Mykonos, intertwining her family history with the history & evolution of the island. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about the history and culture of Mykonos, beyond just the social media photos and high-end shops. My only regret is that I went toward the end of my trip so I didn’t get a chance to try out all her recommendations. Thank you Jasmine!
